Chris Wright began his radio career, broadcasting from a portacabin on a small hospital radio station in Hertfordshire, he was still at school at this time. He soon got a thirst for radio and soon got involved with a local community radio station (now known as Ten17) as a way of getting out of doing PE and Games!
It wasn't long before professional radio came calling when Chris joined Invicta FM in Kent whilst, at the same time managing to fit in a full time University degree in Canterbury. Once he graduated, Chris moved along the south coast to join the full time team at Ocean FM where he presented the afternoon show for 6years.
Chris has lived on the south coast now for ten years and is known to many in the area having worked at Ocean FM, 2CR-FM and Spire FM in Salisbury. Recently Chris was broadcasting across the country on the Gold UK Radio network but now he's decided to head closer to home and join the team at Original 106.
Having spent so much time commuting to London, Chris is looking forward to a shorter journey to work each day!
Chris Wright, who lives in Southampton is married to Kate and they have a daughter, Poppy who was born in 2006.
