FA Cup fever is building in Portsmouth ahead of Saturday's big final at Wembley.
Victory against Cardiff would be a successful end to the season for Pompey who haven't been out of the Premiership's top 10 since October.
Goalkeeper, David James is fit for the match and says it would be good to get some silverware.
"There was a two-pronged attack on trying to qualify for Europe - one through the league, one through the cup.
"The result against Manchester City kind of scuppered [chances of qualifying through the league].
"I think, understandably, people's focus has started to go towards the FA Cup for a place in Europe and the chance to win silverware."
Manager Harry Redknapp has yet to reveal who will make the starting eleven for Saturday's game.
James told Original 106 that all the players are keen to start.
"There's a large pool of selection options for the gaffer.
"I think everybody wants to be fit, as I believe they are, now, and we can slightly excuse people for losing focus on league position which was unattainable.
Pompey go into the game as favourites but both teams will have half an eye on entry to the money spinner of a European competition.
James says the team's experience should hold them in good stead.
"We're a team that's been together now, at least since January, but pretty much most of it since the begining of the season.
"So we know each other, we help, and deal with each other and the fact that it's a cup final - it's [just] another game."
