Beds Are Burning by Midnight Oil

Adrian Scott

Born in the front streets of London, Adrian made his radio debut on Hospital  Radio, a form of therapy that the NHS is now greatly missing.  After passing out at the National Broadcasting School with a distinction and hangover, his first (barely) paid was instore radio at the Virgin Megastore London - which he still remebers was great fun.

Adrian was then lucky enough to be recruited as part of the original Ocean Sound team which saw him, amongst other things, interview the Joe Cocker in Stuttgart. (Nice gig! - Ed.) He then crossed the water for an enjoyable stay at Isle of Wight Radio and then on to Spirit FM in Chichester where he stayed for a number of years.

And until 2007 Adrian was broadcasting nationally via satellite on a variety of different radio stations.

Then in the autumn, up popped the chance to return to broadcasting in a region that's been his home for the past 21 years.

Home it may be... but Adrian loves travelling - and in recent years has conquered Canada, Kenya, the USA, Equador, Colombia, the Galapagos, China and Hong Kong amongst  others.

He lives in the east of the Original 106 region  which means he's also a regular theatre goer especially The Chichester Festival Theatre - and a keen armchair sports fan. He says "It's comfortable, dry and there's no queue for the loo. Well, not normally!"
